I. The Vision of Faith comes from a Heavenly Perspective
A. God’s revelation (His Word AND PROMISE) is the basis for our vision
1. The vision of faith is the ABILITY to spiritually
understand God’s Word I Cor. 2:12, 13
2. The vision of faith is the COURAGE to act upon
God’s Word Gen. 22:8; Dan. 3:17
3. The vision of faith is the PATIENCE to persevere in
God’s Word Col. 3:1-4; James 1:3-6
II. The Vision of Faith is guided by Godly Precepts
A. God’s revelation (His Word) is what directs our activity
1. The vision of God is always CONSISTENT with
biblical principles James 1:25
2. The vision of faith DEMONSTRATES the character
of Christ Service-centered not self-centered
3. The vision of faith SACRIFICES personal gain for
the sake of God’s kingdom Heb. 11:35-38
III. The Vision of Faith produces a Purposeful Present
A. God’s revelation (His Word) motivates us to act upon our hope
1. The vision of faith leads us to be SALT and LIGHT
in the world Matt. 5:14-16
2. The vision of faith remains COMMITTED to God’s
Word in the face of persecution and false teaching
Eph. 4:14-16; 2 Tim. 4:2, 3
3. The vision of faith sees BEYOND the present trials or
circumstances to act in accordance with God’s promises
